With our Board and Train program, your dog receives consistent, hands-on training around the clock—without you having to juggle your schedule. During their stay, your dog will actively learn and practice positive behaviors at all times, even during the small, everyday moments.
Whether it’s teaching them patience while they wait quietly in their kennel, reinforcing potty training, or correcting unwanted behaviors like nipping or jumping, our trainers are always there to guide and support them.
With a trainer present day and night, we’re able to continue forward progression in your dog’s training through any challenges that might present themselves before they become ingrained behaviors.

Your pup will be raised as part of our family, experiencing life within our structured training system, which is also fully customizable to fit your needs. Not only will you avoid the usual puppy growing pains, but your pup will also be prepared to seamlessly integrate into your ideal lifestyle.
Private Lessons
$150/lesson
Our private lessons offer personalized, one-on-one training for you and your dog in the comfort of your home. Whether you’re addressing specific behavior issues or fine-tuning existing skills, these sessions provide the focused attention necessary for your dog to thrive both at home and in everyday situations. For new clients, private lessons require a minimum of 3 sessions. If your dog is a graduate of Tropical K9 Academy, standalone lessons can be scheduled as needed.

How do I know if Board and Train or Private Lessons are right for my dog?
If your schedule is too busy to provide consistent training or if you want to ensure your dog gets round-the-clock attention, the Board and Train program might be a good fit. Private Lessons are ideal for owners who prefer a more hands-on approach and want to be involved in the training process. Either option can be effective, depending on your goals and the amount of time you have available.
If I start with Private Lessons but find I’m struggling with time and repetitions, can I switch to Board and Train?
Absolutely! If after our second lesson you feel that a fresh start and new foundation would benefit your dog, we can transition them to our Board and Train program. We’re here to ensure you and your dog get the best results, no matter the approach.
Can I visit my dog during training?
We understand that missing your dog can be tough, and while our weekly pictures and videos help keep you connected, we can arrange for you to observe one of our off-site training sessions from a distance. However, we don’t recommend visiting your dog during training while they’re still building their foundation. Interrupting the process can sometimes cause setbacks, and we want to make sure your dog gets the most out of their time with us.
What happens after the Board and Train program is complete?
Once your dog completes the Board and Train program, we will provide you with a detailed training plan to maintain their progress at home. You will also have access to ongoing support, including free monthly group training sessions, to ensure continued success. We’re committed to helping you and your dog thrive long after the program ends.
